I try to post very little about politics, but in this case it can be justified since the author of the article is the celebrated Mormon author Orson Scott Card, and since the article appears at Meridian Magazine.
This article is fantastic, and is made even better by the fact that Card himself is a Democrat. I highly suggest you read it whether you are Republican, Democrat, or in between.

I think it’s well-written, and honest. But then again, I listen to the Glenn Beck radio show every day and he has been warning us and saying these things since 2006.

Ha. Card identifies himself as a Democrat, but has certainly voted Republican at least since 2000, if not before: he’s an enthusiastic supporter of Republican policies and politicians, and an equally enthusiastic attack-dog on Democratic policies and politicians. He’s about as much of a Democrat as Joe Lieberman.
Joe Lieberman is a liberal. He just happens to be one liberal one recognizes the importance of winning wars.
