In all of Christendom Mormons are unique in declaring that multiple diving beings exist in the heavens. An organized explanation of that belief is the subject for another post, in this one I wish only to provide a list that I have compiled of bible passages that seem to demonstrate that basic fact. Some of them are more impressive than others, and taken as a whole they provide a strong argument for the fact that the various authors of the bible believed in the existence of multiple divinities.
God of Gods
(What sort of praise is it to say God is above all gods if no other gods exist?)

Deut 32: 8 -9 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of El (Universally accepted as “children of El” by scholars…the KJV is wrong).
9 For the LORD’s(yhwh) portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. (Yahweh is one of various gods who received a nation to rule….his received Israel.)
“Oneness of God”

Common arguments against a multiplicity of Gods:
Deut 6: 4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:(Hear, O Investigator: Elder Jones our missionary is one Elder.)
Isa 43: …before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. (There is no before or after God, God is eternal)

Psalm 86:8,10 (‘among the gods….thou art God alone’) this phrase does not exclude the existence of other gods)
Theosis
Ephesians 3:14-19 14 ¶ For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self, 17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
I’ve been meaning to compile a list like this (and on other gospel topics) for some time now.
Thanks much for saving me the trouble. :)
